One year older!

Today is Alyssa's birthday, at 10:00 am she was born three years ago. it is so hard to believe she is already three, it feels like just yesterday Kaylin was three. Every birthday with Alyssa is so bitter sweet. She is my last baby, so watching her grow up is sad at times because I will never have a girl at this age again. Don't get me wrong it doesn't make me want to have another one, it just makes me sad. She is learning and doing so much; this year she has learned how to count, her colors, and her ABC's. In the fall she is looking forward starting school and ballet with Miss. Annie. You are getting so big and smart and beautiful my sweet Alyssa. God made you bold and sweet. He has given you special gifts and made you for a great purpose. It brings me so much joy to watch you bloom and to see you learn about God and how much he loves you. I can't wait for you to watch you grow older and see the things you will learn and the person you will become. For now you are still my sweet baby Alyssa, even if you say your not a baby, you will always be my baby!

Happy Birthday my baby girl, I love you!!!!

Count Down

The last two weeks I have been counting down big events until summer starts. For us summer starts with a week long trip to Branson to see my sister and my two nieces. We have had a lot going on the last two weeks. Kaylin and Stefan went camping, she had her science fair, her dance recital, and this week is her end of the year party. The count down ends with Alyssa's 3rd birthday party this Saturday, then off to Branson we go. Surviving this week is going to take nothing less than an organizational genius and a million lists, while some may be ready to curl up in a ball and die now, I thrive on these challenges, can't wait!

Kaylin did so good in her recital. Like most of the students she forgot some of the steps and looked off stage for Miss. Annie to prompt her. They were so cute and she had so much fun. She smiled and and is really starting to get used to performing. Here are the pictures!!
Here we are in front of CATS, ready to dance!

Little miss attitude, I love this tutu!

They had their names on the mirrors, how fun.

Miss. Annie, we love you!!!!

Science Fair

Kayin is in preschool thins year and they have been learning a lot about science and how things work and why. Might I add her favorite class is science with Susie Science. She loves the experiments and the hands on activities, huh do you think she is a Kinesthetic learner? Any way, they had their science fair yesterday and it was so cute. kaylin did a sea shell collection answering the question of "Where do they come from?" she had so much fun putting it together and working on it with me. Here are some pictures of the proud scientist at her first ever science fair!
Proud scientist!

The girls where so intrigued by the baby tadpoles.

Best buds celebrating afterwards!

Camping

Kaylin got to go on her first camping trip this weekend with Stefan and all his friends. Charles, one of his friends brought his daughter, Trinity, who is four, the girls had a great time. But the daddies were exhausted. She got to go hiking, have a camp fire, see a real buffalo just feet away, SCARY, and the best part is she learned to squat, for you campers you know what that means, what an accomplishment.

They went to the Wichita Mt. in Oklahoma, the place where Stefan proposed and where we used to camp years ago before kids came along. Part of me was a little jealous that they got to go but part of me can't wait for Alyssa to get a little bigger so we can go as a family. Any way, here are some pictures of her adventures.

The Buffalo was right on their trail, they were so close to it and Kaylin was shakin in her boots!A model no matter where she is. See her model the great bottle of Gatorade!
Kaylin & Trinity, they had so much fun!
Breakfast of champions, Coco puffs with a new friend.
What a view, I really miss it, oh yeah, and Kaylin with Daddy so sweet.

Random Updates

Last month I did a blog about all the projects I wanted to do around the house, well they are all done. Alyssa's bedding is done, curtains hung and her room totally matches. Our room is done, stained the bed, painted the room, and lots more. The final project was to redo kaylin's bedding which is now complete. It feels good to get all those projects done and be ready for a fun summer.Kaylin's Room, isn't it cute !!

On another note I have been told twice now to post something new, so here it is. We have a busy summer so far, which I am very excited about because busy means happy and fun. We are going to Branson in June to see my sister. The girls have swimming lessons in July and in August we are taking Kaylin to the Circus for her first time as a "here we go to kindergarten fun day."

But before all the fun summer times Kaylin has her dance recital this month, Stefan and Alyssa both have their birthdays, and Kaylin gets to go on her first camping trip to the Wichita Mts. this weekend, I am so jealous, that is where Stefan asked me to marry him.

Have I mentioned I love the color accent effect on my new camera, it is so cool!!
